1. Scope
This policy applies only to the Android application Neshama Stories / סיפורי נשמה, package name com.mobileups.neshamastories, published by MobileUps (Shahar Ben Hayun).
2. Data collection and sharing
- No personal data is collected.
- No user data is shared with third parties.
- No account, registration, advertising ID, analytics, crash reporting, or cloud sync.
- No ads, subscriptions, purchases, or marketing notifications.
- No location permission and no internet permission are requested.
3. Information stored on the device
The app may store language and manually selected city preferences, reading progress, completed stories, a local practice streak, and the timestamp of temporary technical-review access. This information remains on the device and is not transmitted to MobileUps or any third party.
The selected city is used only for an offline, conservative product policy that pauses content on Shabbat and work-prohibited Jewish festivals. The app does not determine the user's location.
4. External Jewish-source links
A user may choose to open a cited source on Sefaria. The link opens in the device's external browser, outside Neshama Stories. The app does not receive information about browser activity. Use of that website is governed by the website's own privacy policy.
5. Data deletion and retention
Local app data can be deleted at any time by clearing the application's storage in Android settings or by uninstalling the app. MobileUps has no server-side copy to retain or delete.
6. Children
The app is intended for users aged 13 and over. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults.
7. Changes
If the app's data practices change, this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before the changed version is released.
